Resources for Inventors

The Suffolk County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club is a meeting place for inventors with patents pending, others who had sold or licensed inventions and those who have lots of ideas but don’t know where to start. The club also holds an Inventors Showcase where club members can display their inventions to receive feedback and encouragement from fellow inventors.

Since its kick-off, the club has grown steadily, with nearly 5,000 people coming through the doors.  A topic is discussed by an expert speaker and there is time for inventors to mix with business people, attorneys and those who would like to start their own business.

“Suffolk County has a robust community of local inventors,” said County Executive Steve Bellone. “It is important that inventors and entrepreneurs keep their projects moving forward and become familiar with all of the resources available.  Suffolk County helps them do that by hosting this monthly program.”

For 2017 we will be collaborating with Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs, LaunchPad LI and the Patent and Trademark Resource Center at the Smithtown Library to offer a variety of programs. Suffolk will offer three programs: March 21, May 16, and November 28.

Suffolk meetings are held Tuesdays from 7-9p.m. at the H. Lee Dennison Building, Media Room,100 Veterans Memorial Hwy., Hauppauge, NY 1178. Use the East Entrance and you will be shown to the meeting room.
